The solution may be right under your nose. Catholic Charities operates 22 affordable senior housing communities in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford and Garrett Counties and Baltimore City. To be eligible for most Catholic Charities Senior Housing communities, applicants must be at least 62 years of age and meet income requirements.
Some residents drive daily to work or volunteer service while others receive daily services to maintain independence in the apartment setting. Service Coordinators are available to link residents to health, nutrition, and transportation services, as well as health insurance, pharmacy assistance, and tax and energy assistance. Meals and in-home services are offered at nine communities through the Senior Support Services program.
Ninety-five percent of Catholic Charities Senior Housing residents responding to the 2010 Resident Satisfaction Survey would recommend their community to a friend or family member.
One resident said, “My thanks to Catholic Charities for compassion to the elderly, so we can afford a wonderful place to live in. Thank you, God Bless.”
Another commented, “I always praise this place and count my blessings that I live here.”
