Event Details

Safe Streets is hosting a ribbon-cutting and neighborhood party on Tuesday, June 18 from 4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of its second Safe Streets site which is located at 423 East Patapsco Avenue, a storefront in the Brooklyn neighborhood of southwest Baltimore.

“The most important thing about the grand opening is that we welcome and celebrate the community and particularly the children from the neighborhood,” said Imhotep Fatiu, Program Director of Safe Streets-Brooklyn. So, following the ribbon-cutting and tours at the Safe Streets storefront on East Patapsco Avenue, community residents are invited to gather for food, fun, and games in Garrett Park, located around the corner at 3560 3rd Street, Baltimore, MD. 21225.

Safe Streets is calling this event Unity in the Community and to positively engage the neighborhood children, they will have a moon-bounce house, a rock climbing wall, face painting, and a video gaming truck.
