We are pleased to highlight a team for the Employee Spotlight! Donor Services in the Development Department is made up of a team of two – Nina Fox and Trey Fisher.
Nina is the Manager of Donor Services and has been with the Agency for over six years. She is the report specialist and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of recording and acknowledging all gifts to Catholic Charities. She is the trainer for new employees (and current ones) in how to use the database, Raiser’s Edge and the point of contact for Finance for issues related to contributions. She was a paddler for Catholic Charities Dragon Boat Team 2012. She uses the many opportunities to volunteer with the Programs as inspiration both professionally and personally and mentions that being in the programs provides an energy that helps remind her of the amazing work we make happen and the lives we touch.
Trey Fisher is a Development Associate for Donor Services and has been with the Agency for almost two years. He is responsible for processing all gifts, making all deposits, preparing and sending honor/memorial cards, and preparing acknowledgements. He was also a paddler for Catholic Charities Dragon Boat Team 2012 and marks this as his favorite memory at Catholic Charities. He loves being able to volunteer at so many different programs and getting to know the staff, volunteers and clients each time and coming to the office every day and working with the best boss in the world. He’s also a die-hard Ravens and Orioles fan!
According to their colleagues, Nina & Trey are amazing. The Donor Services department has decreased over the past ten years from four employees to two, yet they are processing more gifts – approximately 30,000 gifts and acknowledgements – each year. “They are both always eager to help when anyone has a problem, they volunteer for all events that Development holds and they do all this with a smile. They are highly regarded members of the team,” says Gen Haines, Director of Major and Lead Gifts. Angelo Boer calls them “a key cog in the workings of our development office is our Donor Services team. They are the folks who do the detail work behind the scenes. Always helpful and ready to serve.”
