Last year, Catholic Charities participated in the filming of a short (approximately 8 minute)documentary by the Kaiser Family Foundation on the issue of poverty among our seniors. A resident of Basilica Place Senior Community, Lucy Vaughan, appears in the documentary, and speaks very powerfully to the challenges of trying to make ends meet on a small annual income.
A three minute version of this documentary debuted before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging on March 5.
