“It’s overwhelming,” Jory Williams said as he received his gift. “It just makes me feel loved.”

Mr. Williams along with hundreds of other residents from the Weinberg Housing and Resource Center (WHRC), enjoyed the 5th annual Christmas Eve dinner and dessert party at Baltimore’s night shelter, which is managed by Catholic Charities. All 470 residents received a gift through the Catholic Charities Adopt-a-Resident program.

For the first time, news crews including FOX’s WBFF – Channel 45, NBC’s WBALTV- Channel 11 and CBS’s WJZTV Channel 13 covered the Christmas Eve party and the presentation of gifts. In addition gifts provided from the Adopt-a-Resident wish list, WHRC clients received new backpacks filled with winter wear including: sweatshirt hoodie, thermal long-underwear, gloves, socks and a Christmas card from the non-profit, Linda’s Legacy.
