Join Stoop Storytelling organizers in partnership with Catholic Charities, Jewish Community Services, Behavioral Health Systems Baltimore, MedStar Health, Baltimore Jewish Council, Maryland Faith Health Network, and NAMI Metro Baltimore for “Out of Stigma’s Shadow: True, personal stories about mental health, mental illness, and the mysteries inside our heads” on Tuesday, May 21st at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.

For the show, we’re seeking seven storytellers to share a seven-minute true, personal tale about their experiences with mental health (e.g. depression, suicide, bipolar disorder, substance use, trauma, anxiety, etc.) — the challenges, surprises, struggles, and triumphs.

Stories can be from anyone who has experienced or been impacted by mental illness. The stories can be funny, sad, serious — as long as they’re true.

Got a tale to share? Submit it here by March 29. Submissions will be reviewed and selected storytellers will receive in-person story coaching from The Stoop producers.
