Bertina Williamson, 82 years-young, proves you’re never too old to pick up a sport. This summer, Bertina, a resident in a home supported by Gallagher Services, was the oldest athlete in Special Olympics Maryland. She has been competing since the late 1990s and her hard work paid off with Bertina bringing home a Gold Medal with her teammates. Bocce ball is Bertina’s favorite, but she also bowls, golfs, and plays basketball and hockey. View WBAL-TV’s fantastic feature story.
