(BALTIMORE, Sept.11, 2019) In remembrance of the lives lost in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Catholic Charities supports the collective call for a Day to Serve. During this month-long initiative from Sept. 11 through Oct. 10, communities are encouraged to transcend political and religious differences and unite behind the shared goal of helping those in need and improving our cities and neighborhoods.
Several Catholic Charities programs are participating in the Day to Serve movement and offers opportunities at Sarah’s House emergency and supportive family shelter in Anne Arundel County; My Sister’s Place Women’s Center in Baltimore City; Anna’s House emergency and supportive family shelter in Harford County; Baltimore’s emergency the Weinberg Housing and Resource Center; and at St. Vincent’s Villa in Timonium, Maryland.
