Margaret Knott Riehl (1934-2018) believed that every person deserved to be loved and treated with dignity and respect. She embodied the vision of Catholic Charities of cherishing the Divine within every person. She was known as a “selfless woman”, who was inspired by her Catholic spirituality to give to those in need. She was also generous beyond measure and saw herself as a humble volunteer, who baked and delivered desserts for the guests of My Sister’s Place each and every month. She quipped that the guests could always tell the difference between homemade desserts and those that are store-bought. She and they recognized that homemade were always best. And giving the best of ourselves is something she always believed in.
